Just finished watching Hua Mulan on DVD while I was having dinner. It's so touching, I couldn't stop myself from crying in a few scenes. I also love the theme song sang by Sun Yan Zi. Overall is a good movie I liked it, if you ask me to watch it again, I would.

16th Feb (1st Day) Tuesday

Never never ever take Air China, it's so crap~ Beijing Airport is so nice but for some reason not sure why their aircraft is so crap! Beijing is so cold (-9°C ~ -1O°C) I nearly died, lol! Visited 2 theaters (1 if which we watched acrobats performing) the other was kinda like a museum. We saw an orchestra getting ready for a show there too~ Went to the Heaven Temple, but our tour guide keep saying to us Temple Heaven. There's another temple there I think it's called the Prayer Temple or something like that. Didn't take much photos, cause whenever I took my hand out of my glove, it felt like I put my hand in the freezer for fun~ We also went to a street called "Shopping Street". This street has this coffee place called "Costa", I ate a really nice Tiramisu cake. Lunch was good and dinner was so so. We have free Internet in our hotel (Grand Gongda Jiangguo Hotel) room but there are some sites that are blocked. Like Facebook and Blogger (that's why I'm blogging now).

17th Feb (2nd Day) Wednesday

Didn't wake up when the alarm rang at 7.30am, but at the sound of the door bell. Dad had come to wake my sister and I up at 8am. Had to wake up cause our tour guide and driver picked us up at 8.30am. We went to The Forbidden City, omg! the wind there was like @#@$%^ my fingers were like super cold (felt like I had stupidly left my fingers on ice for like 2 mins) irony was I was wearing gloves, had numb fingers from the cold. I think it was -5 degrees == ... After which we walked underground towards the other side of the road to Tian An Men Square. Took a bit of photos here and there in those 2 places, didn't go crazy wish I could but didn't. It was too cold~ Right after went to lunch. Just because of lunch I don't want to eat dumplings for like a month. You should have seen how many different types of dumplings our tour guide ordered for us.. 1 word "SCARY". Then we went to sit on something like a trishaw. Our driver was going so fast and since the wind is so cold, my sister and I who were sitting side by side were freezing our butts off. Later we went to a different theater from yesterday, red theater or something like that to watch a Kung Fu performance and later went for dinner. Ate really nice food including the Beijing Peking Duck, I was so engross with drinking the duck soup, it was so yummy! And then off back to the hotel~

I wonder when the fireworks will stop, since we got here, there were non-stop fireworks and crackers either when we go out touring or when we're back at the hotel. Just now while my sister and I were in our room watching "They Kiss Again". Outside our window displayed colourful fireworks, best view ever~

18th Feb (3rd Day) Thursday

We went to The Great Wall Of China, before we went up we took a family photo, sad bro & s-i-l wasn't there. I attempted to climb but since my Uggies whenever I climbed it made my legs heavy and the thought of walking down is scary cause it's so steep. So I didn't climb all the way to the top. After that we headed to the Ming Tomb, which was nearby. Then off to lunch, after went to Dr Tea and tried 4 different types - White Tea (bitter at first, drinking water or just leaving it for a bit, you'll find that you're throat is becoming sweeter) Puer Tea (apparently the older the tea the better it is, but it won't have any special taste) also it has a special certificate that goes along with it. The other 2 are Oolong and Jasmine Tea. I like all of the tea except for one and that's Oolong. After we were brought to get our foot massage for free. The people massaging out feet were interns. Funny questions were being asked by them in mandarin to me from this guy rubbing my sister's foot. He asked "whether I've got a boyfriend" & "whether I'm looking for one in China" Lol Hahaha~ Also asked for my age super funny. Then after our super relaxing massage we went to have dinner.

19th Feb (4th Day) Friday

The first stop that we had gone to was the Beijing Museum, after that we went to the Summer Palace. It's a nice place with a man-made lake and hill, it's the place where the emperor and the empress would go during summer~ but the lake stinks, how do I know? I went to the edge to take a photo and went OMG! felt like puking..

Later for lunch, we went to this place called New City where they have fresh water pearls. Upstairs of New City is where they have their restaurant. The food was ok, the soup was bland, but I couldn't stop drinking it. After went downstairs, they demonstrate on how to check for pearls and we had to pick one. He said guess how many pearls there are in the oyster, if you guess it right he'll give us as a souvenir. All of us couldn't guess the right answer. Correct answer he said fresh water oyster on average should have up to 25-30 pearls, sometimes on rare occasion 40. Even though we didn't get the correct answer, he still gave us, 2 each. Shopped there for a bit, bargaining is essential.

We went to some military defense and the to this shopping center that's like Bugis but worst. Went window shopping and they think you want to buy, walk away and the price goes lower. I got one.. she said original price is 350 yuan, but for you I give you 120/150? yuan (can't remember what she said) and then I said no i'm just looking and then she said ok i'll give you 50 yuan and I still said no. Cause I don't think i'll wear it, so not my style. We went up and parents had they foot massage, my sister and I went to do manicure, I find it crap, cut until i'm bleeding.. i'm still bleeding even though i'm back in the hotel already and it's been like 2 hours argh! Painting of the nail polish is also crap, cannot stand it. Then we went for dinner, had really nice suan la tang couldn't stop drinking it. Tomorrow morning have to wake up early to go to the Beijing Terminal 3 Airport to go to Xi An.

20th Feb (5th Day) Saturday

Woked up: 5.3O am (Beijing)
Flight: 8.OO am
Landed: 1O.OO am (Xi An)

We went to the airport to take a domestic flight to Xi An (the airport was so packed). I can't believe a 2 hr flight, served hot food and the international flight from Singapore to Beijing is so bleh. Hot food can choose between Western or Eastern food. Arrived and passed by the Museum that we were supposed to go to. The tour guide said to get tickets, we have to follow the line. Normally to get it, takes about 2-3 hours just waiting in line. Siao! who wants to be so Kiasu and wait in line for so long. (Cause it's free and they only give out 2OOO a day) So we gave it a pass and went straight for lunch. Love the food in Xi An taste so much better than Beijing. Then went to see the Pagoda then off to our hotel. Cause it's my sister's birthday, we went to get a cake for her. They said they can make that particular cake in 45 mins so we went to walk around then collected it after while walking back to the hotel. I had 4 slices of her cake Oink!

21th Feb (6th Day) Sunday

Couldn't wake up this morning cause last night before I went to sleep, my sister sleep talked and she was snoring too. She said "Who ran away?" I was like Huh! Then I woke her up and asked her again what did she say even though I heard it. Then she told me she was daydreaming and went she hit the pillow again she started snoring O..O In the morning she said she was dreaming she won half a million from lottery and wondering who ran away with her money. Hahaha!

Went to see the Terra Cotta Warriors. They found 7 pits, but only 4 are open to the public. There are 3 pits filled with warriors and chariots, some are still covered to preserved their colour. Cause once the colour touches the air for at least 2 hours it disappears!! and the 4 pit is empty. Then went to lunch at a local village, but the food's not as nice as in the city. After we went to the Hot Spring (Tang Dynasty). Went back to the hotel (Yi He Palace) to rest. Then @ 6pm left the hotel for the dinner & show.

22nd Feb (7th Day) Monday

Went to the City Wall, took this Traveler on the wall 2O yuan per person. Took us at least 1 hour to go round the City Wall. Then we went to have lunch, after went to this area called the Muslim Street, it's really interesting. Then left to go to the airport~ Back to Beijing @ 5pm. It's a 2 hr flight then @ 11.3Opm flight back to Singapore.

23rd Feb - Tuesday

Landed in Singapore at 5.5O am at Terminal 1

Finally home, back from China (Beijing and Xi An). China is too cold and dusty, my jeans and my luggage all covered with dust until it's all dirty. Yesterday we left Xi An at 5pm in the afternoon and reached Beijing at 7pm then we had to wait till 11.30pm for our flight to Singapore. During our transit all we did was eat at this Japanese restaurant, the ramen was not bad, sat there until almost 11pm then started moving towards our gate. When were at our gate we knew we were almost back at home, for there were a group of Singaporeans near us. I'll blog about the rest of the trip here later. Might take a rest now, right knee kinda died on the way back to Singapore.

My family and I will be heading to Beijing tonight on Air China~ Going on tour for like 1 week, so will be back in Singapore like around 22~23 of Feb. I'm in the midst of packing, sort of finished just waiting on my spare camera battery and my psp to finish charging then I can pack my wires and i'll be done. I think my bag for the 1 week trip will be heavy I packed in all my winter clothing and 2 thick jackets (not counting the one that i'll be wearing)! A lot of t-shirts and long sleeves and my pjs. Oh and my track shoes, cause i'll be wearing my Uggies on the plane. I think i'll be this round ball of fluff walking around China. Currently adding and updating songs onto my iPod don't plan on getting bored there.

This year as people know it~ Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day falls on the same day, 14th of Feb.

This morning I couldn't wake up even though I went to bed straight after I came home from my aunty's house. On the other hand, my sister slept later, I think she was doing her work~ but she couldn't wake up as well. And the reason being, my cousin wanted to go to church, so we have to go to the temple earlier then usual, guess what he and his brothers were the last ones to get there. After we burnt the joss stick and paid respect to my grandmother (dad's mum), we went visiting family friends and relatives.

Now back at home, resting~ later going to my aunty's house for another round of mah jong or continuation from last night!

As for Valentine's Day~ This year would be a pass, no special person to celebrate with ): Lol!

Yesterday went to Suntec with mum, sis and sis-in-law to do some shopping. Needed to get my sister's winter down jacket for China, cause she doesn't have one. So we went to Winter Time~ Apparently this Winter Time doesn't have any offers (but 313 and Center Point has) and they didn't even tell us. Stupid shop~ Also went around to see if there's any nice clutch bags, the ones I like are those in Aldo and New Look. But eventually got the semi clutch bag from New Look. Went to the bank to cash in money as well. My sister had to go off and meet her friends so it was just the 3 of us, so we left Suntec and went to 313 @ Somerset. Went there cause mum hasn't been there and I needed to go to Uni-Glo to get my skinny jeans. Bought 2 this time $39.9O, sad I want my $19.9O pairs.

After headed to Parkway cause I wanted to do my nails. If I don't do it now I will never do it, and can't do it during CNY so~ Went to the usual at Crystal Beauty on level 5. I didn't know there was a surcharge for CNY until half way through my express mani the chick told me. There will be a $10 surcharge! I'm ok with that but don't tell my mum and me when i'm drying my nails and about to pay that we have to fork out another $8 for the surcharge for the French Mani that is so freaking lame. Who does that~ My $18 express mani (usually) came up to $36 wtf.. more expensive that the normal manicure. Might as well get the normal one, I think it will be more worth it. I need to go find another good one.. cheap and good.

We went to this Thai food place for dinner it's next to the old badminton hall. It is so nice, I love their noodles, green curry and tom yum soup. The noodles is the hottest out of all the dishes we ordered. My sister literally became the fire breathing dragon~ The kang kong was nice! A place going worth going back for more. After we walked to the old badminton hall to eat durians (mao sang wang) is super nice, creamy and bitter. The old badminton hall is now a crab and prawn fishing place. Is scary, the water is so black, you won't even know what is lurking beneath. But it looks fun~ One of these days I want to go and try prawn fishing, maybe somewhere closer at ECP or something.

I'm so full now~ resting on my bed. Going to play Fiesta, my sister is playing WOW~ Tomorrow going to shop more for China and my jeans and bag for CNY.

Stayed at home the whole day~ with my sister. At around 9am my sister got a call from a transport company, saying they're coming at 93Oam to deliver something. I'm sharing a room with her and i'm a light sleeper in the morning (if i've gotten my sleep) which I did. So when she was talking on the phone I could hear the conversation.

The guy delivered the package and it's a rose in a box from her boyfriend for Valentine's Day! So sweet, her boyfriend's in Australia and he bought the rose for her. I've met him in person when I was back last month and he's super sweet (:

Omg! I have no idea what to write anymore~ today's a boring day which I spent at home. I have nothing to say~ I'll just blog tomorrow.

Went out with my sister today, took her around to do some shopping~ First we took 14 to Dhoby Gaut, cause she wanted to go Daiso to get chopstick casing. We had lunch there too, KFC, cause she wanted to eat cheese fries. Then we took the MRT to Bugis, where we went absolutely crazy. Bought so much for CNY and for other days, also bought my book which I wanted to get in Brisbane but it was pricey so I didn't. But we went to Kino, there was this other book with a different title but the story is the same like Red Lotus. It's the same but different story title and the cover is different. There's a different in price too. Our last stop was Parkway Parade, went to get our hairs done. I only coloured my hair while my sister got colour and cut, we would have to pay full price but I had a card that gave us 3O% discount.

We went to South Buona Vista, wanted to eat the Duck Rice there. But they were closed, I think cause of CNY. So all 6 of us headed down to Chinatown, yes Chinatown again, this time I wore the right shoes. We went to the hawker center to eat~ then after we went to the travel agent to collect our tickets for the China trip.

We found the Ting Ting Tang and Dragon's Beard in the shopping center. Bought like 2 packets of the Ting Ting Tang and 4 packets of the Dragon's Beard. As well as that we went to buy toiletries. Was super packed, bought like shower gels, lotion (for China) and other stuff.

Tonight having dinner at Long Beach at East Coast, Dad wanted Long Beach King at Kallang but they're fully booked. Having dinner with family tonight, well some of them.. table for 13.

I went to meet Brandon and Kai Hoe yesterday for dinner. Went to PS first, cause I had to buy boxes from Daiso to keep my DVDs. After that went down to Chinatown, for dinner and shop around. But it ain't good when your wearing heels and I was in heels yesterday. Thought i'll wear it since I haven't wore them since a year ago. But now i'm suffering, I have 3 blisters and a painful right leg. On the way home yesterday on bus 14, it wasn't a double decker and the bus driver kept squeezing people onto the bus till I didn't have any place to hold on to. Got off the bus and I just couldn't walk home anymore and I was forcing myself. Got to the lift and just went bare footed home.

Today went with family excluding dad to Suntec, to have lunch at Tony Romas and to shop. Went to buy lip balm and gloves (sister and I) for China. After that we went to find our CNY clothing. I bought a dress from JOOP and a top from Verge. I need to go find a belt for my top, didn't like the Verge belts, cause it was saying 'Bling Bling' lol! After we headed to Guardian, mum had to buy medicine~ I went to get my essentials and shampoo. Then went to Gelare, to rest and eat waffle with ice cream and root beer. Back at home now resting and listening to the 2AM song ♥

Just came home from dinner, went to Peach Garden at Novena. Dad's friend bought us dinner.. cause it's his wife's birthday~ Had the Yu Sheng, Shark Fin Soup (not the normal one), Fish, Noodle, Abalone, Dessert etc. I think I ate too much today.

I thought it's about time I changed my blog like from cs2b.blogspot.com, it's just weird keeping this link, since he and I aren't together anymore. I thought and thought of what I wanted to call it, but nothing came to mind and almost everything was like already taken. So now it's gonna be called the-memories-xo.blogspot.com, I might think something else along the way and might change it to a better one. Watch out for that.. will tell when again when i'm going to change it.

Until I started watching "We Got Married", since Jo Kwon is from 2AM and he did this parody with the other 2AM and 2PM (DEG). Only been listening to 2PM's Heartbeat and Tired of Waiting. But I stumbled on this teaser on Youtube and Omg! it's good.. But I cannot seem to figure out what the title means cause it's in Korean. It sounds so good~ I'm a fan now ^w^

Omg! So hot~

I left Brisbane on QF 51 @ Brisbane International Airport at 1.4Opm this afternoon. The flight was good and plus it wasn't a full flight, I had no one sitting next to me. Thank god I changed my seat so many times (: the last time I picked I took the aisle seat but at the window. A good thing, I can stretch out more! But my row didn't have a window lol! for the sun was so glaring during the day.

I took the entertainment magazine to see what movies they have, I wanted to watch Amelia but just couldn't find it on the screen.. sadness~ But I did watch Julia & Julie or is it Julie & Julia, I don't remember. It's a nice movie, didn't think it was that's why I didn't see it in the cinemas. But yea! it's good I liked it. Another movie I saw was a Cantonese movie, I forgot the title of it but I just googled it so.. the title is called "His Majesty's Secret Service", it has Barbie Hsu and Louis Koo. It's a dam funny movie, couldn't stop laughing, glad I didn't really laugh out loud.

Surprisingly the food's good during the flight and I had good service. Oh there's this air steward that looks like my friend Leonard, I got a shock haha~ But yea food and service good coming to Singapore. But omg! from Singapore to Brisbane, food and service was bad!

I went to Brisbane with my luggage weighing 19kg, came back to Singapore with 24kg. It's like half my weight literally. Dad put a 6kg box of honey in my luggage the day before. So I have a 24kg luggage, a new 16.4" laptop that when you carry on your shoulders is dam heavy then I have my normal bag and another hand carry. So yeah! now both my shoulders are like dead.

Parents and sister coming in tomorrow night~

I went to the City and Southbank with Eza, after my dental appointment this morning. Mum dropped Eza and I off at Southbank, cause I wanted to go to the Lolly Shop to get my Bon bons. Then Eza and I we walked to the City after (: Walked across the bridge, it was bloody hot, felt like I was burning under the sun.

Had lunch at Kadoya, they changed the menu I think. I couldn't eat properly, cause my mouth was numb. Had 2 injections today = = Anyways I wanted to find Michelle's shop, but I went to the wrong pen shop. I thought it was the one on Elizabeth Street, but it's actually on Queens Street. Wanted to go there for a visit since I was in the city already.

I wish I had gone there, cause Michelle just told me online that TAYLOR SWIFT just walked into Ink and Paper, I was like OMG~ get her autograph.. But she said she was nervous and that she's happy that she could see her in person. I told her I'm so jealous.. Dang! missed the chance to see Taylor Swift in person. Since i'm flying back to Singapore tomorrow and will be missing her concert in Brisbane.. So not happy about it~

We took a 2O min drive to Grandma's house, was listening to my ipod and playing Loco Roco 2. Went to Grandma's house for dinner, had Chicken Macaroni Soup. Yum yum. Then got my aunty's old resume, she wants me to update it for her. She said to me on saturday, normally I get someone to do it for me and I always pay her $25 to do. This time instead of getting her to do it for me, I rather give you the money and get you to do it. So yeah! I'm doing it, done it already since I got home. (: just earn myself $25.

On the topic of resumes, I think I might do up mine again. Add all the part time work i've been doing in Brisbane.
